SARASOTA SUMMER SERIES POINTS

OPEN COMPETITION DURING

SARASOTA SUMMER SERIES

Each week a different age group open will be run with

the regular classes. The 2nd round will start next week

with 7 & under open, 2nd round earns DOUBLE POINTS

Regular class is $7.00, OPENS ARE FREE.

Riders will earn Their summer series points in class, and

special points for the opens. Oct. 17th will be the

super dooper open for All riders that show up to

race class that night and it will be TRIPLE OPEN POINTS.

This will be the last chance for open points.

Friday rainouts will be rescheduled for the Sunday

of that weekend. Registration is from 11 - 12:30 with

racing to start at 1 pm.

POINTS ARE DETERMINED AS FOLLOWS:

One point for each moto, semi or main that

you race. Plus, one point for each rider you

beat in each moto, semi or main.

Ties will be broken by the results in the mains,

then semis, then motos.

NEXT OPEN--- 8 & 9 YEAR OLDS ON FRIDAY AUG. 29TH

DOUBLE OPEN POINTS

Special prizes will be awarded at the track

summer series championship for top 10

overall & top 3 riders in each open group

not in the top ten

SARASOTA SUMMER SERIES

This will be a high points series, with the leader of each class

winning a specially designed Sarasota BMX jersey. This series

will begin on Friday, July 11th, with a double points race. The series

will run through out the summer, with the championship on Friday,

October 24th.

To earn points for this series, you must race at

Sarasota BMX. Please do not confuse this with the state

summer series. These are two different series, and will be pointed

separately.

Be sure to check the calendar, as we will be having

single, double, triple, and quadruple points races during this series.

MAIL LIST

schedule changes, etc... When any of these things are done, I will send

out a notice to everyone on the list to let them know of these changes. This

list will only receive track related mail (no jokes, junk or spam). To

PARENT COUNCIL

Parent Council is now on the second Thursday night of each

month. It is also a regular practice night, so all riders will

pay the regular practice fee. Practice will be from 6-8 pm,

with the meeting starting at 7 pm. The only difference is

that practice will run WITHOUT the gate.
